Spanish Peaks Honey Raspberry Ale

私のビール選びの基準は、上述の「365 Bottles of Beer
for the Year 2002」という日めくりカレンダーである。このカレンダーで紹介されたビールを、近所のビール販売店で探すのが私の週末のお楽しみとなっている。さて、２００２年８月７日に紹介された「ハニー・ラズベリー・エール」、さっそく週末に「トータル・ワイン」に探しに行った。他のスーパーマーケット等には置いてないことがわかっていたからだ。早速冷やして飲んでみたが、あらら、カレンダーの記述通りだった。臭いもラズベリーだが、飲んでみたら甘さを抑えたラズベリー炭酸飲料かと思うような味だった。蜂蜜というのはちょっとわからなかったけれども、この異色さは、以前紹介した「アビータ」の「パープル・ヘイズ」とよく似ている。女の子が飲むにはオシャレでいいかもしれないが、それほど頻繁には飲みたいとは思わない。
