“Strongly
hopped on first sip, with a lingering citrus punch as the liquid goes down;
fruity and smooth; predictably even-tempered from start to finish; possesses a
sharply defined but restrained cutting edge that bites nicely into red meat;
not particularly complex, with each ingredient well defined and offering its
own separate note and balance; not as crisp as it should be for the style;
leaves a slightly yeasty aftertaste and a somewhat uneventful finish. Good with steak or roast beef and a

「スチールヘッド」は、渓流をはねるニジマスのラベリングとずんぐりむっくりのボトルの形状に特徴がある。カリフォルニアのビールを比較的重点的に扱っている「フレッシュ・フィールズ」でひときわ目立つラベルであるといえる。味の方も「シエラ・ネバダ」ほどクセもなく、飲みやすいペールエールだと思う。本当に渓流釣りに行って一息つくのに丁度お手頃のビールであるように思う。
